University of Forestry
La University of Forestry es la única universidad de Bulgaria que imparte formación de especialistas en el ámbito de la silvicultura, la tecnología de la madera y la producción de muebles, el diseño de ingeniería de muebles y la arquitectura paisajística. La universidad también imparte formación de especialistas en ecología y protección del medio ambiente, medicina veterinaria, agronomía, protección de las plantas, gestión empresarial y turismo alternativo. La Universidad es un importante centro de formación e investigación en la esfera de la gestión y el uso sostenible de los recursos naturales.
La Universidad imparte formación en los tres grados de educación y calificación: Bachillerato, Maestría y Doctorado y está plenamente acreditada por el Organismo Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación de Bulgaria, que figura entre las diez mejores universidades del país.
La Universidad tiene seis facultades: Facultad de Silvicultura; Facultad de Industria Forestal; Facultad de Ecología y Arquitectura del Paisaje; Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria; Facultad de Agronomía y Facultad de Gestión Empresarial.
La Universidad también ofrece cursos de capacitación personalizados en áreas específicas, siguiendo las necesidades actuales de los estudiantes universitarios y los graduados. En la Universidad de Silvicultura existe un Centro de Estudios de Posgrado en el que profesionales de diferentes sectores económicos asisten regularmente a diferentes cursos con el fin de adquirir conocimientos, aptitudes y calificaciones que faciliten su desarrollo personal y su empleabilidad y aumenten su competitividad en el mercado laboral europeo.
La Universidad de Silvicultura ha ejecutado con éxito diversos proyectos científicos y educativos, cofinanciados por los programas marco de la UE, el Banco Mundial, el Programa COST, el Programa de Aprendizaje Permanente, Horizonte 2020, el Programa Erasmus+, etc. La Universidad de Silvicultura proporciona conocimientos teóricos y prácticos basados en una amplia base de ingeniería y colabora activamente con universidades y centros de enseñanza superior y de formación profesional de toda Europa.
La Universidad colabora estrechamente con diferentes organizaciones y empresas en el ámbito de las especialidades estudiadas, donde los estudiantes tienen una formación práctica regular y pueden aplicar los conocimientos y habilidades obtenidos en la práctica.
